Laboratory Technician, Algae Testing, Cyanobacteria Testing, PCR Laboratory Technician, Algae Testing, Cyanobacteria Testing, PCR - Skills Required - Algae Testing, Cyanobacteria Testing, PCR - Polymerase Chain Reaction, Laboratory Technician, Algal Mass Culture, Ecophysiology, Outdoor Photobioreactor Systems, Create Data Reports, Setup Indoor and Outdoor Tank Experiments, Bachelor of Science<BR><BR> We are searching for a Laboratory Technician for Algal Mass Culture and Ecophysiology.<BR><BR>What you will need for this position:<BR><BR>~ B.S. in Biology, Biological Oceanography, Limnology, or Environmental Science<BR>~ 2+ years of demonstrated field and lab work experience with algae and/or cyanobacteria. <BR>~ Experience in algal/cyanobacteria ecology and physiology <BR>~ 2+ years of work experience on complex lab equipment (eg GC, flow cytometer, nutrient and carbon analyzer, PCR, etc.) <BR>~ Broad experience is more relevant than intense experience with one particular instrument. <BR>~ Experience with algal mass culture systems and/or culture process control or in molecular field ecology<BR>~ Be highly self-motivated and self-reliant <BR>~ Able to integrate well with a small, closely collaborating team <BR>~ Able to work with heavy loads and outdoors in a hot climate. <BR>~ Excellent English language skills - both oral and written<BR>~ Familiar with computer operations and standard software (Excel, Word). <BR><BR>What you will be doing:<BR><BR>~ Perform research towards the optimization of algal and cyanobacterial growth in outdoor photobioreactor systems <BR>~ Participate in indoor and outdoor tank experiment setup<BR>~ Perform routine sampling of experiments/bioreactors and in-lab sample analyses ~ Provide data reports <BR>~ Perform general lab and facility maintenance.<BR><BR>What you will receive in return:<BR><BR>Generous salary<BR>Comprehensive health insurance <BR>401k plans<BR>Annual vacation <BR>and much more - VB-LabTech-FL - , , , , , CyberCoders CyberScientificdf-lj More...
