This facility has been providing quality care in the community for 50 years!<br/>Family-friendly atmosphere and team oriented environment where you have the support needed to grow and succeed in your career! <br/>And of course you will enjoy the warm, sunny days on the beach all year round!<br/><br/>Responsibilities:<br/>Provides in depth custodial and technical nursing care to (adult/pediatric) patients based on nursing assessments and diagnoses and the patient's physical, mental and emotional needs, as well as on physician's medical care plans as a RN.<br/>Assesses patient needs and develops the plan of care based on collection of data, both subjective and objective and observation of patients clinical status. <br/>Initiates and administers therapeutic interventions, such as medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, etc., under the parameters of the State Nurse Practice Act and in adherence with the Policies and Procedures of facility.<br/>Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per nursing standards as well as assisting physicians with procedures.<br/>Directly and indirectly, through diagnostic devices, skillfully observes, evaluates and records the patients' clinical conditions and critical events in the patient's hospital stay, per nursing standards, through written or electronic documentation. <br/>Recognizes, identifies and interprets emergency situations and initiates appropriate action. <br/>Evaluates the response to the plan of care and achievement of individualized mutually agreed upon goals; and revises and updates the plan. <br/>Interprets plan of care to patient's significant others, as well as conducting formal and informal teaching sessions on disease entities, therapeutic regimes and wellness concepts.
